Lord, I chased after you, thinking of all you could give me.
Not completely aware of how you could transform me.
Running after what I thought was the abundance you had,
I found out how abundant you are
Visualizing what you had to offer me,
I lost sight of whose image you were longing to conform me to
Cheers to you, Lord!
Cheers not to what you're giving me,
But cheers for into who you're trying to change me into.
In you,
The way I can be transformed and who I can become is so much powerful than what I can gain or obtain.
Cheers Lord! For as I chase after what you have,
You chase after who I am, and into who I can become.
